I started my meds 6 weeks ago. I was put on Celexa and Klonopin. I started feeling better within a week as far as the physical symptoms. I am now weaning off the klonopin and I feel great. The Celexa does take awhile to start working but you will notice more good days than bad which helps because you know it's working. I had no side effects from either medication. Good luck!

I am not a specialist, but I think it will take a couple of weeks before you will notice the meds kicking in. You say; i want to be done with.
Take your time, don't expect miracles from your meds, but they will surely help you very much. I my experience anxiety is tackled by therapy, meds, and talking about your problems a lot.
When I started talking about my problems with friends, family, doctors I got a lot of support, understanding and even a deeper bond with friends and family..

Hi...don't be scared of doctors and medicine. I know what I am talking about. I am on meds for a long time now. Yes, you can have some mild side effects, but in time they will go away. Do not fight it, let it help you...
Think about it this way; would there be 7 billion people on this world if we did not have meds...?
