does anxiety cause headaches??

i have had anxiety/panic disorder for 6 yrs but about 6 months ago they got really bad, my doctor discribed them as cronic (chronic)... about 6 weeks ago they settled so much i thought this was the end of it, but 4 weeks ago i started getting a dull ache on the left side of my head at the temple,behind my left eye and sometimes at the back of my head, almost like pressure...i have had it constantly for 4 weeks,it does not completly go , i have had an MRI scan that came back normal and blood work done that also came back normal.. my doc is saying it is caused by my anxiety... can u tell me if this is possiable?? please .. need answers...

Anxiety manifests itself in many ways.  But just to be on the safe side, I would get your eyes checked, and see an ENT to rule out other problems, and go from there.  I know it's frustrating that nothing is black or white with anxiety, many gray areas.  If your eyes are okay, and the ENT clears you, then maybe you can attribute it to anxiety.  Also, if you are on any medication for your anxiety, I would think it would prevent the headaches, so you may want to discuss this with your doctor, especially if you've been on the same medication for awhile now.  We build up a tolerance to these medications and often need to switch to another. hi.. have had eyes checked and came back ok. dont know what a ent means?? and not on any meds as thats one of my anxietys.. (even though maybe i should take them). my doc still thinks its tension headaches caused by anxiety.. will find out more within the week... thanks

Keep in mind that one of the most common side effects of medication is -- ta da -- headaches.
