K here's the scoop,

I recently had a surgery called submoucous resection of the inferiour turbinates in teh nose. Before I went into surgery I read a bunch of stuff and there were a lot of nightmare issues including a diease called epmty nose syndrome. When I went to bed the night before I was so nervous I was gonna cancel but I didnt'. when i got to the hospital they had to give me an ativan to calm me before surgery i took two of them..I said to the doctor i'm scared of the side effects and said if you went inthere and didnt' see fit to cut then don't i wouldnt' be upset..So now I read all the symtpoms people get with the epmty nose like dry n ose, post nasal, drip, chest tightness, stuffyness with anxiety can you actually give yourself these symtpoms do you tink or am i doomed with the diesase which would ease me just knowing i got it and have to deal with it..i just dont knwo the other day i read online about getting tight in the arm pit and side with anxiety or stress and now it seems like my side is killing me and my arm pit everymorning when i get home from work...Any suggestions would be awesome and I do thank you in advance for anything ifyou would like to contact me it's ***@****

thanks Tony

hey,
well i know from experience that anxiety combined with research of conditions and disease can basically provide you with any symptom you're afraid of. It's probably just your mind giving you these symptoms  but if you'dlike to be positive  i'd say make a follow up appointment with your doctor- i mean thats always a good idea after surgery anyways. I know it's hard to get to the doctors ecspecially when you've convinced yourself that all you'll recieve is bad news, thats something i need to work on myself. Just remeber that it's most likely your mind telling you somethings wrong because your so afraid of it and your just over aware of normal body sensations.

Good luck + hope you feel better
