Give your mom some credit for understanding what this age is like for you, and no you're not weird.....it's very normal.

Don't give it a second thought.  Those kinds of dreams, accompanied by the sensations they create, are a totally normal part of life.  Even us old folks experience that from time to time, although they are more frequent among younger adults and teens reaching sexual maturity.

Really, don't worry about it...on the off chance your Mom DID check on you...she would understand.

Also, you may feel more secure if you close your door at night (if you don't now).  It may give you a greater sense of privacy.

Let us know if you need anything else!

I can't really add much to what nursegirl and mammo have already told you, but if you want to learn more about what is happening to your body, the medical term is "nocturnal emission," and often referered to as a "wet dream."
If you DO research this............please go to sites like the Mayo or Clevland Clinics or Mass General.
Masturbation is also totally normal and healthy, you won't go blind or grow hair on the palms of your hands. It has been medically proven that masturbation is the all time best stress buster. I should make up bumper stickers that say "Masturbate For Mental Health"
There is absolutely no reason for you to feel anxious about what is happening, as the above posters pointed out, this is a totally normal and healthy aspect of growing up. It is nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about.
I hope you will relax and just enjoy the transformation into a sexual being.

At 14, I think it's time you asked for your privacy and a courteous knock on your door before entering..............but remember, that respect is a two way street!

Well, for someone who didn't have much to add, I had no trouble adding it. LOL
I raised two boys who were both 14 at one time.............I'm just familiar with this subject, not an expert.
Peace
