Its only when i drive. when i drive at 50 mph i don't get dizzy. only if i think about it alot. When someone else drives, i never get dizzy. I will check in with my doctor and see what he says.
Drive yourself, slowly, to your doctors office and tell him/her what you are experiencing.
Does this only happen when you're driving? And does it only happen when you go 60+ mph? If that IS the case, it's possible that driving that fast elicites a fear response which manifests with the symptoms you experience. Perhaps driving that fast causes your brain to overload as things whiz past you. There is a name for that, which I can't think of right now. But it's like what happens to some people playing video games that move too fast and can sometimes cause them to seizure. Please understand that I am not a doctor and these are just the best guesses I can come up with right now. Both are probably full of holes, but the bottom line is that you are having problems driving and need to have this evaluated by a doctor.
You are very smart to take alternative routes so you are not putting yourself or others at risk, but something is going on and you need to find out what that is.

Some people with panic and anxiety disorder have a fear of driving on highways. It is more common than you would think. Do you notice any significant amount of anxiety off the road, or is it only when you are driving? I would see your doctor.
