yes it is great advice. I thank you so much for your answer too, its more then my doctors give to me and I pay them. I cant wait for the research to show exactly what happends to the brain when coming off these meds. Thanks again
I was on 75 mg of Effexor for a year, and it took me an entire year to get off it w/out negative side effects. I know a/b those horrible shock things in your brain- I almost felt like a was getting electrified every few seconds, or something. It was horrible! My best friend was also on the same amount of effexor, she tapered off like the doc told her to, and she was fine. Me, however, had a different experience. How much were you on?
If it were me, I would either just suck it up until it gets better- or if it's too unbearable, get back on a tiny bit (until the shocks go away) and SLOWLY taper yourself off. Experiment. [Isn't this great medical advice? :) ]
Good luck
Camilla
