effexor

Hely all
I was on celexa 40 mg for around 6 months and my doc switched me to cymbalta celexa was an ssri and cybalta is an snri. I have no problem with the switch except cybalta doesnt come in generic which my insurance only pays for generic drugs but "effexor " does. has anyone have experience with effexor?
any input would be great

Antidepressants didn't really work for me but out of all the ones i have tried effexor worked the best. i did have some dizzy while first starting it but that went away. My grandmother also takes it and only problem shes experiences is lack of a sex drive.

Hi. I just wanted to say I was on effexor 11 years. I experienced horrible withdrawal and two years later still have debilitating vertigo and balance issues as well as ringing in the ears and vision issues. I realize sometime people need antidepressants but if it all possible I would encourage people to forgo the. At least research them before you take them please.

Generic Effexor has worked very well for me, and I went on it for the same reason.  Just explainto your doctor that you cannot afford the Cymbalta, he will know what generic is best for you. Best wishes!
