I've been taking 225mg for a year and before that, 150mg for eighteen months. What happens if I quit taking it cold turkey? Even now, if I am even a couple of hours late in taking it I start glitching ( all over body numbnessNumbness and tingling in different areas at different times). I came into being prescribed this because of anxiety due to a brain aneurysm.
Do not stop taking the EffexorEffexor Effexor xr cold turkey at 150mg!!! What you're experiencing sounds like your body is phasing out of the EffexorEffexor Effexor xr--the same thing has happened to me recently, but I was on 150mg for 6+ years. You need to be tapered off of the drug under a doctor's supervision, and even then you will most likely have withdrawal symptoms. The worst is supposed to pass within two weeks, but it could last longer. ? I am EffexorEffexor Effexor xr-free at week 4, and I am still having strange symptoms. Good luck! Everything will be ok, but make sure you taper down with communication with your doctor.
