Yeast infections don't go away immediately. Using antibiotics also can just lead to another infection as they also kill off the beneficial organisms that prevent yeast infections from getting a foothold. After you're done with the antifungal pharmaceutical, take a good probiotic supplement from the refrigerated section of a good health food store, and make sure it's one with reuteri in it. Try to cut out sugar and simple carbs for awhile, as candida loves sugar. And get a good book on the natural treatment of candida -- they have better ways to keep these from recurring than doctors do. But don't stress over it and talk to your doctor about how long it should take for the medication to work -- you can't stop it once you start it until you finish the prescription.
