feeling of falling

Why is it anxiety makes you feel dizzy or off balance? I feel like I could tip over, this last's all the time, even while I sit or lay. I had all test's and they all come back fine. I dont take any meds. Does anyone else suffer from this symptom 24/7, if so what do you do for it? Thanks Mindy

Maybe a different medication?  What kind of effect did you have to the Lexepro?  Have you been diagnosed with any kind of depression?  I'm only asking because my depression symptoms and anxiety symptoms seem to overlap, so maybe a different medication that triggers both would really help you.  I'm on Citalapram and I love it.  Good luck!

Mine came on after my first son was born, I had a bad pregnancy and a bad delivery. I was feeling back to normal again, when I found out I was expecting my second son, 2 1/2 years later. I start to feel really good and then I get that wave over me, I know when my period is comming my anxiety is so bad, like you said my hubby knows to watch out. Ha Ha. Itried lexepro and had such a bad reaction, now I'm so affraid to try anything else, I would do almost anything to get rid of this nasty feeling. I've tried therapy and didnt really get much outta that, so any other suggestions? Lord nows I need them :)

Well, I suffer from a combination of anxiety and depression.  Most definitley, it is worse around that time of the month.  It's a sign to my husband to "stay back"!  ha ha  All joking aside, I think you should get meds.  I have been on meds for 4 years.  I lived the first 25 years of my life thinking that the feeling I was having was my fault, it' s my personality, I can control it, blah, blah, blah.  Then, I had a child and emotionally I fell apart.  So, off to the docs I went.  I really didn't want to have to "depend" on a pill to make me feel better.  Four years later, I don't want to have to spend another day of my life without it.  It's quality of life that's important.  You will feel so good after doing this.  I view it as an acomplishment in my life.

Yeah, I have had that nasty vertigo, I dont feel the spinning all the time, it's more like the ground is moving before my feet, if that makes sense or my eyes are moving to fast, My ear has been hurting for a few weeks but I've had this problem for a long time. My BP is fine, like I said all the tests come back fine, I have been dealing with anxiety for almost 7 years and I think as long as I dont take meds the longer I have to deal with this huh? Thanks for your post, one more question do you get more anxiety durring your period? I find mine is at its peak durring that good time of the month.

Are you sure it's your anxiety causing this?  Usually that off-balance feeling comes from your inner ear (sometimes caused by an ear infection, vertigo, etc.)  Do you feel nauseous sometimes, too?  I have vertigo, so what you are explaining makes me think that.  As far as anxiety, it could be the quick/drastic raise or drop in blood pressure.  You should see a doctor if you aren't sure what's causing it.  Good luck.
