feeling stress and anxiety

I had a protected sex with a sex worker. I feel scared that some her vaginal fluids touch when having sex. I posted my problem in HIV prevention they said i donot have any risk. But i feel very scared and anxiety from the day it happened. I feel neck pain many times. I thought these pains are ARS symptoms of HIV but they said they are not. Are these neck pains are due to Anxiety.

It was smart to have protected sex which pretty much eliminates the risk...have you gotten tested?  HIV is a very difficult disease to get, but it can really cause a lot of anxiety.  Health anxiety, if it comes from heart health, HIV fears, cancer fears, etc, can be  a very hard cycle to get out of.  I bet you have looked up the symptoms of ARS and convinced yourself you have it; that is very common in my opinion when dealing with health anxiety...if you think you have it, you justify any and every 'symptom' to relate to what you think you have.  I know it can be very difficult to understand and deal with anxiety but it can be done!  Keep us posted!!

the best thing to do is to go and get tested for HIV. i went through the same thing and still go through it from time to time with the negative thoughts in my head  so i know how you feel. when you are having anxiety it is very difficult to think anything else but negative thoughts and your mind is raising a mile a minute. please keep us posted....

Hi smith. I also suffer from HIV anxiety when my doctor told me there is absolutely no way that I have it. I am too scared to get tested but my life has been heell at times. so go ahead and get your doctor to prescribe you anxiety medication, then go to the clinic to get your result in about 30 minutes. That's what I would do.
