f**k this yet agin.

hello i have been suffering anxiety the past few months. ive all the typical symptoms under the sun. the past week ive been pretty ok, but as anxiety works i found something to stress and worry about,, what im about to say sounds crazy to a person who does not have anxiety,, ok i saw on the news about swine flu so i looked it up on the internet, it says if you have bad swine flu symptoms you find it hard to breath,, well i was thinking what if i got swine flu and found it hard to breath and then got a panic attack. its hard enough catch your breath when your having a panic attack as it is let alone if your having breathing problems,, now im convinced ill catch swine flu, find it hard to breath then have a bad panic attack and die from not being able to breath. this taught has just raised my anxiety yet agin,, i HATE  anxiety.

I usually tell people who are "suggestible"  be careful what you read, but I found myself in that same situation, SO I just started looking up all kinds of things and you know what, we can find any symptom to fit us!! learn to let it go and REALIZE, with Anxiety we try to find a COMMON (something) everyone has, reason for our feelings. it's Anxiety, if you have only had it a few months go get help and nip in the pants now!

p.s. You ever feel these symptoms: Fatigue/Tiredness,Nausea/ sick in the Morning,    Mood swings and stress, Backaches, Headaches:, Frequent Urination, Food Cravings,Abdominal bloating and or pain, Elevated  body temperature. guess what these are symptoms of ?? point is to learn to 'DESENSITIZE"  YOURSELF FORM SYMPTOMS YOU READ ABOUT or just stop looking on Internet for symptoms. Also the above are symptoms of Pregnancy.  good
luck keep on posting, your get better and feel fine. ;-)

Health anxiety can be a huge pain in the you know what.  First of all, remember, as of right now Swine Flu is no more virulent than the regular flu.  Also, you can pretty much link any symptom you have to any ailment you have by reading the internet.  While the internet can be a great tool, we are by no means qualified to diagnose what we have even though it is good to be proactive.  My original bout with anxiety came with concerns that I had with my heart.  I linked every little pain, palpatation, etc. with detrimental diseases when in reality there was nothing wrong despite reassurances from the doctor.

Have you ever seen a counselor for your anxiety?  For me, this was the most important step that I took to confront and deal with this...keep us posted!
