Hi there..."slight" positive means he has strep. LOL. The only important thing to know is neg or pos. Most likely they did a rapid strep test....so it is possible it wasn't real reactive. Either way....it's pos and you have to treat it.
Another thing that people do not think of is toothbrushes. If he keeps his toothbrush with the other people in the family..isolate it...and throw it away, get a new one in 2 weeks.
Hope the lil guy feels better soon...I'm getting over it myself and it stinks. I think this makes like the ka-gillionTH time I've had it....grrrrrr.
That is good that it was only that - you caught it early (slight) so it was good you went in today with him. Ummmm - no smooches for a few days. Kiss his forehead instead. LOL But yeh wash everything good like dmbfan said. Good advice! Has the fever gone down?
Thinking of you and yours. Kids are so precious!

Just wash everything very well after he uses it with hot water and soap and wash your hands often you should be able to avoid getting it, same thing for your other son. :-)
well just got back.. he had a strep test done it came back as a slight positive??? what is that? slight positive?? I hope my other son don't get it.. or myself for that matter.. what is the likely hood of me getting it?? I don't want it..
Thinking of you....please let us know how the appt went.
already called the doc.. he has an appt at 3:40 today.. he just isn't acting sick at all.. he's still playing and eating.. I hate this..
Thank you guys for responding, I hope it's just an ear infection and nothing too serious..
Also, maybe a tepid bath can help and do not let him go to sleep. Please do call the Pediatrician. Yes let us know.
Prayers enclosed. Be calm and trust your instincts. High fevers are not to be messed with.
Take a deeeeep breath and try to relax. If you haven't...call your child's pediatrician right away...they'll likely want him to be seen right away.
Remember, kids' fevers are usually a bit higher than an adults'. Meaning....what WE can tolerate and what THEY can tolerate are pretty different. That high of a fever in an adult would be MUCH more worrisome.
And, I'm not donwplaying it either...it is high enough where it needs urgent attention...I'm just trying to calm you a bit.
Do you have baby Tylenol? If so...give him a dose of that while you call your doc.
Hang in there.....it will be okay. Let us know how he is ok?
