Hello there,

It is okay to feel a bit nervous when stopping a med that was preventing you to be nervous. Well at least i think it's a med that was for your anxiety since i don't know anything about such Closapan. Did you mean Clonazepam?

Anyway if you reduce your dosage really gradually you should he doing just fine otherwise i suggest you talk to your doctor about it as he might suggest something else to help the withdrawal or keep going for a while on the same dosage.

Always talk to your doctor before getting off a med is really important!

Best regards,
M4

Hopefully Ryan will come along, he has an advanced knowledge of these meds and has helped a lot of people successfully taper.

First, what is your dose, and how long have you been on it?  Any other meds you take?

As was already mentioned, always discuss these types of things with your doctor first.

I think you mean Clonazapam. I am on it and have been for over 3 yrs now. I went through the horror of not getting my prescription on time before a long weekend, and I went through terrible DT's. You have to get off it really gradually, and depending on the amount and number of pills you were taking, the more, the slower the release of the drug.
Are you replacing this med with another?
What were you taking this med for, anxiety or sleep?
Definately let your Dr know what you are doing...just in case.
