got laced need help please

my weed was laced in my first year of college. There was only 1 drug dealer so in total there was around 10 blunts laced. I didnt think anything of it at the time, but i was able to taste my teeth as i was smoking. I found out by someone after the fact, but since may i have stopped smoking and feel unsocial, i have been very quiet and its like every second of the day i am thinking about being laced. I cant concentrate on anything, i cant sleep, i have blocked thinking, and I have been very lazy. I used to talk alot and be hyper. I dont know exactly what I was laced with but i know it was cocaine, oregano and a psychedelic drug. Maybe pcp or ketamine. My doctor says all of this is withdrawal symptoms from marijuana but this has been going on for 2 months. I want to know if anybody has experience from being laced, wat drugs cause permanent damage or anything else that someone can share to help me

Have you considered posting this in the Addiction/Substance Abuse forum too?

Well, you have to know what was in the pot to know for sure.  A little coke isn't so bad...but I don't know about PCP or ketamine.

I'm sure some will disagree, but I don't think stopping marijuana cold will cause actual withdrawal symptoms.  Not physical ones, anyway.

Back in the day I smoked quite a bit, and occasionally it was laced with all kinds of stuff, but most often cocaine.  Even if I wasn't told, I knew pretty quickly if that was in there.  I seriously doubt that most pot that's laced with coke has enough in it to cause you long-term problems, and unless you smoked a whole lot of it I kind of doubt you're addicted.  Even if you were, two months should be enough to get over it, though.

It's possible that quitting the pot has affected you psychologically, and that you're now experiencing some form of anxiety or panic disorder.  You don't describe anything that would indicate neurological problems as far as I know (but I'm NOT an MD and am certainly not qualified to judge something like that), so it's possible that you're just a little "off".  Perhaps you were subconsciously self-medicating for panic disorder to begin with?  Who knows...

Anyway, when I gave it up I never had physical symptoms but I did have the problems you talked about, only they didn't last as long.  It might have been three weeks or a month.

I'd recommend that you go to the doctor and tell them the truth.  They may want to put you through some tests just to make sure there's no damage.  And you may want to ask about a toxicology test that would determine exactly what might've been in the stuff you were smoking.  If I'm not mistaken, they can test your hair for stuff like PCP, LSD, etc.

And like my good friend Raine suggests, it wouldn't be a bad idea to post this in the substance abuse forum, too, because maybe someone has had an experience similar to yours.

I feel for you, man.  It's a real shame...the pot my parents smoked when they were kids was something like half as potent as what I smoked when I was younger (or so they say).  Then you have these "additives" and what should be a fairly benign experience can end up being pretty nuts.

Incidentally, the last time I smoked pot was probably about four years ago.  I told the guy who got it for me to get me straight stuff with nothing else in it.  Well, as it turned out, it was laced with coke.  15 minutes in I was having a real bad time.  That was WAY before I was diagnosed with A/P, but perhaps I did have it back then because I sure didn't tolerate that stuff very well at all.

Anyhow, good luck to you.  I'm sure you'll be fine in the long run but have yourself checked out.  That alone may help you feel better.

Hey santana,

I don't know why this fool debaser is calling me his friend.  Truth be told, I don't like him at all.  People tell me he's a shister!

He'll try to push his blog on you if you're not careful.  Which, by the way, can be found by "Googling" "anxiety klonopin blog".  But I would NEVER go there, oh no.
