It is most likely a sign of hyperventilation also commonly known as shallow breathing. I had this symptom too. Stop and take several slow deep breaths (10) from your abdomen. You can look up breathing techniques for stress management on line. Don't worry about the tingling sensation. It won't hurt you. You just need to get some more oxygen in your blood stream.
It is a very common symptom for those of us with anxiety to get a tingling feeling in our hands, especially our fingers. I suppose one could also get that in their feet, but that isn't quite as common.
Some people get that feeling when they have poor blood circulation, but as you are only 20 years old, I doubt that is the cause. But........I am NOT a doctor, so my advice would be to have a talk with your doctor and let them evaluate the cause for this.
I don't think it's anything to worry about, but it's better to err on the side of caution.
Let us know what you find out, OK?
