hi i'm 36 years old mom , i have 2 children the girl is 9 years old almost , and the boy is 3.6 years old.
last summer i sent my doughter to a camping in a new community but all her older cousins were there but she cried at night and wanted me . they called me to take her but i told her by phone that i will come and take you. but she slept then i didn't go. i thoght i want to make her strong.      so i went the third day and took her then we travelled to our house in kuwait. from that day i cant go alone with my husband anywere because she will cry and will make a big thing to go with us. our maid is with us more than 5 years so she dosen't stay with her. she says she is not doing anything harmful to her but she doesn't want to stay with her. my son stays easyly.  
that day we gave her big punishment and she was fine with her .. she will lose anything to come with me. eaven if we humilate her its fine with her if she will be with us... my husband says that she is spoiled  and i say its fear i have to solve it. so help me please she is very smart and lovely loved from everybody , talented.

Why humilate her? Trying to make sense of the post. The punishment was for your daughter? Don't think those two methods will solve anything at all. She is still young. Still growing. The fear of been left behind has to come from somewhere. Only she holds the key to the big secret. But getting the answer might take time. And the right kind of methods. If you can afford a maid I am sure you can afford a child therapist? She might just need to get something out. Something that a therapist could unlock. Think about it as an idea. Beats punishments and humiliation.
