help!! i need your opinion

hi I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression.The Dr did blood work and my white blood count was high,2 weeks later they did more blood work because they wanted to rule out that its cancer.I got the results back and my blood count is still high and they just want me to wait a month to have more blood work done and no other tests.Should i get a second opinion? I feel i should have more tests done to find the reason its high,maybe its just me but i feel waiting a month seems crazy esp since i have had no other tests done.your opinions would be great and thanks

yep, the waiting part does suck. But the results are important. If it's going to be an important discovery the wait is worth it. If it turns out to be nothing serious, well that's just a load off of your mind. And  a second opinion never hurts either! ; )

Hi. Yes, I would get a second opinion as there are many reasons for your white blood count to be up, something as simple as an infection will make it go up.  But you need to know the cause, and waiting a month may just make whatever it is worse.  It's always better to error on the cautious side and have peace of mind.  Good for you for being proactive with your health!  I wish you all the best and take care!

I would get a second opinion.  Your health is not something to mess around with.  Besides getting a second opinion may help to put your mind at ease.
