nate,

i'm not sure what you mean. i thought the anxiety is what was bothering you. or is it more severe withdrawls or something? like sick to your stomach. achy body, headaches, confusion etc... i would think that anxiety would be really bothering you now. but if it's not then i guess that's a plus. i really can't see anyone being on both a short term and long term benzo on a constant basis. that's crazy for me to comprehend a dr. doing that. like i said, once the ativan is history, you should be back to normal. WITH the diminished panic attacks also. so that's a real plus. probably where you want to be.

i've never seen any label me sane program. doesn't sound too professional haha. but i guess you can't judge something by the way it sounds. goto limewire and download one of lucinda bassets relaxation tapes on mp3. do that about 3 times a day. it should help and you gotta eat bro. if you can't, then go get ensure or equate plus. they are nutritional drinks that will get you all the vitamins and minerals and calories you need. they taste good too. chocolate, vanilla, strawberry flavors. also if you do goto limewire get lucinda basset's tape 3, the one about positive self talk. and tape 2 the six steps to end panic attacks. those 2 tapes and the relaxation sessions can really help if you keep up with them. all bout changing your negative thinking to more positive. that's what brings on most panic attacks. attitude accounts for so much in life!

later man and good luck...you'll be fine.

man you already sound better bro.

it's great you're down to 1mg of ativan already. i really believe what is going on here is the klonopin is trying to work and is working some, but the ativan is still reacking havoc on you, you take some feel a lil better but as you wean off it, withdrawl symptoms do occur. just think of what it would be like without the klonopin helping some? so that is some good news.

like ryan said, you need to establish the efficiency of the klonopin. You are doing the right thing. your doc might be a quack as you say, but make sure you keep in contact with him letting him know what your doing, your taper schedule etc. it's important to do so.

i'm no doc, but i have a feeling the lower the ativan dosage gets, the more the klonopin will help, but there will be intermitten times of uncomfort until the ativan is out of your system completley. during those times, practice relaxation deep breathing, exercise, YOU SHOULD HAVE ALOT OF NERVOUS ENERGY to burn off. haha it will help and also make sure you are eating right. just know for sure it will end, the pain part will end and the K will be reestablished. it seems that you have taken some comfort by finally putting your finger on the problem. it helps. like when we all first get panic attacks and goto the ER and just know we are dying, but then we find out we have panic attacks and they are harmful. just that knowledge in itself helps. to put a name to it or put your finger on the "culprit" as we said. you gonna be ok. you can do this with God and yourself. family members are hard for this disorder. you can't explain how a panic attack feels and if you or me never had one and 10 years ago, someone tried to explain them to us, we'd probably be the same. they should be informed that you are going through some withdrawls though and it's causing you some temporary discomfort, it's up to them how they respond, just explain it and let it go....

i know how you feel about feeling like a talented person and this all feels like it's crippling your entire life, but it will pass. it has for me in the past and i fell again and now i'm really close to another breakthrough, the one that is gonna give  me my life back for good!!!

man, i'm not bragging or anything at all, but i can really relate and i mean it when i say i understand the talented, good looking part, caring part. i went from being on stage with jay z and 50 cent in front of 20,000 fans to being homebound with agoraphobia. i'm a music guy and have made some decent accompolishments, in some major areas. it's just something we gotta deal with and get past. in the end we'll be stronger for it and better people..

if you want to private message me i'll show you my website, some cool stuff there. alot of stuff to make you laugh your *** off and forget about anxiety for a few minutes...

later....Jay

Thank you wholeheartedly for your input bro that means a lot to me my current Quack has already said he would help me get off the Ativan.... I hope I will be ok right now I feel like I am losing my mind....  But I am almost down to 1mg of Ativan.... Another thing I just thought I would throw out there.... When I take my Clonazepam in the morning I feel fine... And then when it's time to take the Ativan in the afternoon it goes way down hill.... My face feels numb.... I feel disoriented..... My heart starts to palpitate... SO maybe my withdrawl from Ativan isn't too bad or else wouldn't I be feeling it throughout the day?..... Right now I feel okay, relaxed I truly believe that the Klonopin is still working... The Ativan like you said bro is the Culprit here man; I hate my Doctor... And I get no support from my family either..... They all have way more productive lives than I have... I am a very talented, good looking, kind, caring individual and it just bothers me that this Ativan is taking every facet of my life and erasing it....

Your side effects that you're suffering make mine look pale in comparison....but, the good news is that you're DOING IT!!!  You're now down to 1 mg. - that's great work!!! I'm sure there's a lot of us here who would give you a huge group hug and surround you lots of healing vibes.

And, yes, God is with you - I just wish he could make it easier for both you, me, and the many of us who suffer and struggle with what's on the table of life.

On the positive side, as much as today was the worst so far in this new wean-down, the day is nearly over, and I can only hope that tomorrow will be better!!!

And, I'm so sorry to hear about the state of health care up in Canada....sad.....

I hope you have a peaceful nite,
xan

Thanks Xanweaner I appreciate that, I  just don't know what happened..  Why I trusted a Quack and he has taken every fiber of life away... I just wanted to get well and a lot of the doc's here in Edmonton Alberta Canada seem to concur with him, I am almost down to 1mg of Ativan daily thank god but it is not easy....... Shaking, Dizziness, Minor Tinnitus, Blue dots in vision, horrible obsessive thoughts, numbness, fidgity, mood swings..... I know I can do this and I will... God is with me and will guide and I have all of you.... And I fulheartedly appreciate that....  How is your taper going? Lol Healing vibes to you as well my friend thanks.... And thanks to everyone here also God Speed.......     Nate(+)

good save JS haha but i gotta completely agree with ryan on this one... it's no wonder people have such a hard time with benzo's...."hmmm this isn't working perfect yet so i won't adjust the dosage at all i'll just add ativan or xanax!" that should do the trick!

nate you will be fine. might be a slightly rough road for just a little while, while getting the ativan out of your system, but after that you will feel much better bro. hang in there. klonopin is not the cluprit here. i won't say anything bad about your dr. but it's plain to see what's going on here. always get medical advice from your dr. before you switch or do anything. but if he's against changing your current regiment of klonopin AND ativan, it might be time for a 2nd opinion.

Ryans' encyclopedic knowledge is impressive as always and while he believes that anyone who prescribes certain drug combinations may be qualifed as an idiot, he does NOT, you will note, say that this is the case with YOUR doctor and he correctly suggests that your doctor's help be a part of the suggested dosing schedule.

Be sure not to ignore Ryan's advice about that medical review in any dosing program you are considering.

Good luck and best wishes to you!
