Calm down, have you ever addressed your concerns to your doctor. Sinusitis and asthma will leave you with shortness of breathBreath alcohol test Breath holding spell Breath odor, expecially asthma. I think because you know 2 people with lung cancer, you are thinking the worst for you. If you haven't already I would tell your doctor of your concerns. He'll do the proper testing if necessary. Next, will you mom go to see a doctor? She may have asthma too, if you do. Try to get her to go to the doctor, that will help her and your anxiety over her as well. Hang in there, you will be okay.
I suffer from shortness of breathBreath alcohol test Breath holding spell Breath odor. It's gotten better but when it all started earlier this year I freaked out like you. Have you seen a pulmonary specialist? I saw one about my shortness of breath. They will perform all the necessary tests like chest x-ray and pulmonary function tests. At least this will help you ease your mind that you do not have lung cancer. I agree, you should have your mom see a doctor too. Maybe you guys can go together and provide moral support for each other. You'll feel so much better after you go. I tried avoiding the doctors out of fear but I realized the not knowing just made my anxiety worse! Lastly, anti-anxiety medication helps with shortness of breath, if the problem is caused by anxiety. It helps me.
You'll be okay. This too shall pass.
