About 5 months ago I started my journey off of Ativan, I was taking 2mg daily for three months....  I feel way worse than I ever have before.... Yeah sure I have OCD, but I used to be highly intelligent and creative, I also used to be a social butterfly....  Now every minute of the day I feel like I am going NUTS!!!! I was also blindly placed on Klonopin, six years ago when I was in the Psych Ward.... A low dose nonetheless 0.5mg twice daily... I believe that my Klonopin has hit tolerance... So not only am I going through withdrawal from Ativan,,, I am also goign through tolerance withdrawal from Klonopin.... Like I said I have never been on high doses of this horrible poison they call meds.....  And I never knew at eighteen years of age, how addicting Klonopin is... My question is can people get back to themselves without reprocussions after long term involuntary use, from benzos???

I truly hope so, or else I might as well say goodbye....
  Thank u in Advance....

What's up slick? Long time no see. =)

The answer to your question is "YES!" You can get back to yourself!

Here's a hopeful story...

My brother was a prescription drug user.. it got so bad.. when the Dr.'s took him off.. he had to have it still.. he went from xanax... to freakin Oxy Cotton... this is the most harmful stuff out there... oxy cotton withdrawls can kill you...

He finally got himself help 3 months ago.. he's in confined place in St. Louis.. it's not a drug rehab facility.. but it's like a bootcamp for ex criminals... and drug users... its very church based.. but it's all good. It's no fun and games.

He called me today, he's doing soooo good. He had to quit smoking cold turkey when he got there too. He said he feels good... and the withdrawls werent as bad as he though. At times they were.. but he said it's manageable... and he was on some BAD BAD STUFF!!

Keep your head up bro. You can get yourself back! =) It's all a mindset.

Take care bro.
