how much diazepam

my doctor told me to take 5mg of diazepam up to 3 times a day.
i asked on another forum if this was a high dose
ryan here said it was fine
other people have told me its way too high
why do i ask these questions when i get answers that scare me
i should have just listened to my doctor!!!

How do you feel on it?  Does it make you too drowsy?  Does it just calm you down?  To me, it is a very low dose, but if you are new on meds and it is working for you, I'm sure it is fine.

  I agree that it is a low dose, but it my just be what is right for you. I'm on 10mgs 3 times a day but when I have a really bad time with my anxiety I take 2 at a time but I have been on it for many years now so 10mgs for me is just a small help but one that is needed in more then just anxiety as I do have other problems

  But do as your doc tells you or just cut one in half and see how it dose for you

its not helping much at all, the new meds are making my anxiety go sky high so i think i will have to call the doc to see if i can take a bit more just until the side effects settle down
