i can't take this anymore, i think i need medication

i'm seventeen years old and had really severe anxiety last year and panic attacks, they decreased a bit a few months ago and now they're back, i feel like it's hard to take a deep breath and can't be still i'm really anxious now and i just get them out of no where, i have nothing to be worried about so i'm guessing it's a condition now :[ , my pediatrician wouldn't give me any medication(when it was REALLY bad) so i doubt she'll want to give me some now that it's not as bad, but it bugs the hell out of me!
I hate this!

if you suffer from anxiety please take a look at my symptoms now and tell me if it is or if it's somethin else:
-can't take a full deep breath,
feel as if everything around me slows down,
my head feels different,
i skip heart beats,
sweaty palms,
can never sit still,
zone out ALOT,
tingly hands/face.

what should i do? my mom and everyone knows about this and they just tell me to relax but it's really hard!

My 15 year old son is just like you, all the same symptoms. this is how we helped him. first you must get a complete physical, including a ekg ( heart test) this rules out anything physical, It is required I doubt your symptoms are physical, they fit panic disorer to a T.

then you need to see a adolesent psychiatrist and therapist, its very important the two go hand in hand. If your therapist doesnt fit you request a new one. My son got a woman at first and had to switch to a younger person and a man. It helps him more, You have to be 100% honest with the talk therapist and the psychiatrist who is a medical doctor and can/ likely will prescribe you medications. the thing is you HAVE to take them exactly as prescribed, my son did not for a while it set him back,

He was prescribed, xanax.25 two per day, this is temporary they are addictive , its to be used until the prozac becomes effective which he now understands he must take, its an am medication ( sorry forget his does right now) the hard part is it takes about a month to work it builds up in  your system. Prozac effects teens diffrently then adults it in theory helps with anxiety as well as depression.

If your trying to diagnosis yourself like my son was and reading tons on the internet that is bad it puts tons of ideas into your subconsious and reinforces the panic. I dont mean like this asking for help, I mean watching videos on u tube etc...do not do it.

try to learn deep breathing techniques and to increase your exercise just a bit.

under no circumstances should you consume caffine its the worst for panic.

all the best, Cherie

There's no way to know if it's anxiety or not for us.  Anxiety has an endless list of symptoms, but so do other ailments.  But you do say you suffer anxiety, so the big question is, are you in therapy?  You're a bit young to jump on the medication carousel, so I'd recommend starting with a psychologist who specializes in treating anxiety problems.  If you do want medication, you doctor isn't the person to do that, a psychiatrist is.  But try to solve this without first.
