i have social anxiety and cant take it anymore

im 18 and have a social anxiety problem and i dont no what to do about it anymore. I tried to go back to school yesterday and had one of the worse experiences with the anxiety of my life. I seriously felt lie i was going to die while sittting in the classroom and had to leave. I`ve never told anyone i had this problem before because im so embarrassed. Can someone please help me and let me know they are going through the same thing

My son is 21 and has been on lexapro since he was 18. He inherited this anxiety from me...so I took him to see a dr and put him on 10 mg lexapro and has been doing great since....he is now handling things better, he's been more positive and enjoying life....I did'nt want him to suffer like I did when I was his age....but I left it up to him to make the decision on wheather he wants to be on medication or not....

Have you been to your doctor yet? you should go. There could be so many reasons for this and there should be lots of available help too.
