I agree 100% with nursegirl, base! You've been posting on here with one disease or another for months. We have all told you, over and over, that what you have is severe anxiety issues. And like nursegirl has said, we all feel badly for what you are putting yourself through, but until and unless you begin to help yourself by getting in front of a psychiatrist, there is nothing any of us can tell you any more. I know you've been told that for those of us with anxiety, especially health anxiety, one, if not THE most difficult things for us to accept is that all of our various physical symptoms are being caused by anxiety. Until you accept that fact, you will continue to have every disease you Google for symptoms. I will urge you, one last time, to get in with a good psychiatrist and begin to work on your anxiety.

And by the way, in your post you said that you had been to the ER with these symptoms but you didn't believe the diagnosis because "they are JUST ER docs......" base, if you feel the need to Google something, try a Google on what it takes to become "JUST" and ER doc!

I DO wish you well and hope that your upcoming visit to the neuro will ease your mind. But I have my doubts you'll believe them either. They are, after all, JUST NEUROS!
Peace

To put it straight...you don't need to learn about ALS.  You need to accept and learn about anxiety disorders.

I feel for you, but until you help yourself...there is nothing else much that we can offer you.

YOu are on the right track with the neurologist.  Just so you know, there are other things out there that can cause the same symptoms and not be als.  IF you are under a tremendous amount of stress, you can cause it.  I have it.  Look up conversion disorder.  Don't freak out over the psychological explainations. This is a viable medical condition.  I can tell you all about it.  If all your tests show up normal, they call it conversion disorder.  A neuropsychologist can help you.  If you have any questions please message me.
good luck
