increasing prozac dosage?

I have been taking 20mg of prozac for about 5 1/2 wks for anxiety/panic. I am still having some anxiety. Thinking about increasing dosage to 30mg. Does anyone know if that will help?

This is the time to call your doctor and let him know what is going on.  He probably will increase your dosage but never do this on your own, follow his instructions.  They normally will start you out on a low dosage, see if it helps, and if not they either increase it or switch medications.  Always work closely with your doctor on your medications.  Take care.

thanks, yes my dr. did tell me i could up it to 30mg, so i think i will try it.Although 20mg worked for me in the past, this time it doesn't seem like that's so.

oh and i was diagnosed with mild hypothyroidism and started on levothyroxine 25mcg 6 wks ago.

I have that as well!  By all means increase your dosage, we do build up a tolerance to these types of meds and often need to increase the dosage.  It will make you feel better.
