You've been to the ER a "hundred times" for this and every time they tell you there is nothing wrong with your heart. Have they told you that you are experiencing anxiety or panic attacks? Because that is no doubt what is going on here. The skipped beats are called palpitations and are a classic sign of anxiety...........and the more you think about them, worry about them, wait for them, the more often they will happen. It's one of the "fun" little tricks anxiety plays on us. I think you now have full blown "heart anxiety" and that may very well mean you need to see someone about your anxiety, get to the root of what has suddenly caused this. You said it began just a few months ago, so look back and examine what was going on in your life at that time. Most likely your answer will be there if you look deep enough. But since this is so obviously disrupting your life, in my humble, non-medical opinion, it's time to make an appointment with a therapist. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.........like getting your life back. GO!
Let us know how you're doing, OK? We're always here.
Peace

I meant to say that your heartbeat, which is in the 50's is a VERY healthy and normal rate for someone your age. That you are apparently taking your pulse frequently because you are anxious will naturally cause it to speed up and beat "harder." It's all due to anxiety. Stop doing that. Your sense of breathlessness is also another classic symptom of anxiety and I'm sure you're no doubt counting your respirations constantly. Stop THAT as well.
