if dr tells me to tale 0.5 every 8 hours for anxiety only as needed if i feel fine with no anxiety mcan i skip a dose been on them 5 days now ty autume

Klonopin (clonazepam) is in a class of drugs called benzodiazepines. Klonopin (clonazepam) affects chemicals in your brain that may become unbalanced and cause seizures or symptoms of panic disorder.

Although a slow acting medication klonopin can be very effective in resolving the symptoms of a panic attack and/or anxiety.

If your doctor has prescribed the medication to you prn(as needed), you should use it as he/she has directed, that means that if you are not experiencing any symptoms of anxiety or panic attack then you can skip that dose.

Make sure however, that you are following the doctors' orders correctly.  The medicine bottle should accurately describe how the medication should be taken, so I recommend that you read the bottle clearly and if there is any doubt in your mind, call your local pharmarcist. They will be more than happy to help you.
