kolonopin and efexor

I have been taking 2.5 mg of kolonopin for my anxiety.  I feel very well taking kolonopine. Doctor has perscribed Efexor 35.5 mg.  Not sure if I should change to this med?  I will probably use it in long term.
Does EFEXOR effect heart palpitation?

why has your dr. prescribed effexor if your doing well on the kolonopin? yes! effexor gave me severe heart palpitations. they were so bad one night i had my husband take me to the hospital, i was also having severe jaw pain. they checked me out and said i was fine and sent me home. they recomended that i get a stress test which i did and it came back fine. my regular m.d, the hospital and the heart dr. i was seeing never even mentioned that it could be effexor, i found that out on my own after doing some research. i decided to quit taking it, the withdrawal was hell. after a short time the palpitations and jaw pain went away. i still have a little jaw pain sometimes but nothing like when i was taking effexor. my dentist said it's probably from grinding my teeth at night or could be tmj or maybe it's a lasting problem from the effexor, not sure. sorry to make this so long and i'm not trying to scare you but i hate this drug and alot of other people on this site do too. i would say to stick with what works for you. the effexor may not give you any problems at all, but i still don't understand why your dr. would want to change your meds . he or she should leave things alone if they're working for you. please ask your dr. why the change is being made. take care and let me know. remar

I was see a phyciatrist and he had me taken off of zyprexa since my liver enzyme went up and doing so well that if I have problem in the future that I can come back to see him. I had anxiety after stopping the zyprea so tried using herbal medicine but it didnt work so I went to my regular internist who checks my liver and cholesterol for anxiety medication.  I had mentioned that I used kolonopine and it worked for me fine.  I think the internist was more concern for me to be put on antidepression med.  I did let him know that I was not depression but had anxiety.
I took one capsul and had bad side effect within an hour.  Slight confusion, nausea, heart palpitation.  I have taken your advice and asked my internist to get me on kolonopine.

Does any know if I can take kolonopin and serochtin together?  If not, how many days should I wait for the kolonopin to wear off before I start on seroctin?  Is there any effect on liver from seroctin?

I agree with Ryan completely.I tried effexor once and it severely made my anxiety worse.I would be shaking and unable to relax.I now take valium which has been the only thing that has helped.

im a effexor addict. i love it,, never had a palp, been on it 5yrs and wouldnt be sane without it.

  My dr. placed me on Abilify and my heart palpitation was so severe that I had to go back on Zyprexa. I am taking 1.5 mg of kolonopin for anxiety and 2.5 mg of zyprexa now.Tried to cut out the medication completely but my simptoms returned so I can't do without any medication.  Are there any other medication in the market that is similar to Zyprexa that would not effect my liver enzyme? Used Efexor but had heart palpitation.

i am taking 150 Sr wellbutrin with blue and pink lumictal and4 m fuluphenezin in the morning 3 mi fuluphenezin afternoon and at night   12 1/2 mi zyprexia 2 1/2 kolonopin and3 m fuluphenezin for diagnosis bypolar 1 efected scetzofrenia .
but after all this medication i have a lot of erge to drink alcohal (alcohol) to calm me down ..i dont know what will happen to my liver or what kind of side effect i will have over all i am not doing great but i am ok what do you suggest ????
