are you taking lexapro, i am going to start ii just have not dont want side affects scared of them but the anxiety is almost to much to handle am taking ativan but helps some times not all the time, how long have you been on it and what side affects have you had. that would help me out a lot .
I have been on clonzapam for anxiety for about 6 yrs now and the only side effect I have ever experianced is the medication making me more mellow. My dr. has tried MANY anti-depressants, which all gave me horrible side effects! If your not depressed I would recomend you ask your dr. about clonzapam it is a dependant drug, but also something you can take as needed. I take one a day, but am prescribed 3 and only take them if I feel as if my anxiety is worste that day. Which lexapro you can not do that and can take up to a month to kick in...When I tried it I couldn't sleep, was restlessRestless leg syndrome and felt as if it gave me anxiety, but everyones diffrent. Best of luck!
Lexapro increases your level of seratonin. Seratonin regulates anxiety but it can also increase perspiration, make you feel sick to your stomach and/or sleepy. It can also cause you to have the opposite, insomnia, for the first few days while your body adapts. Don't worry, I sweat alot too. Being anxious and on a medication that can increase sweating is not a pretty combination :).
