lightheadedness/off balance stopped because of zyrtec? allergies?

So I thought this was anxiety. Some of it might be. It started out with 2 canker sores. Stress related. As they got painful my neck and back started to get sore/tension. With that came tension headaches. Then slowly came this light headedness feeling. On and off. When I would lay in bed and closed my eyes sometimes I'd feel like i was slightly moving or on a rocky boat. But it was manageable. My canker sores are gone. My neck and back are still hurt but not as bad. But last night I still felt a lot of bouts off off balance/lightheadedness feeling. I noticed I also have had some post nasal drip. I decided to take a zyrtec last night and within 30 min my lightheadedness was gone. Its been gone today too! My neck and shoulders still are sore somewhat. But what a difference. Do you think the lightheadedness could be due to sinus drainage and post nasal? I know you can get drainage in your ears too. I dunno. Just glad its getting better. :) I figured it was all anxiety. But it could be a combo.

Thanks for writing. I actually do believe it could actually be my tension causing the sensation on lightheadedness/dizziness. I stretched my neck some more tonight, its finally loosening up, amen, and the dizzy spells have stopped!! I had no idea tension could cause that feeling. But everything is connected.

I bet your neck and back hurt because you were tightening your muscles without even knowing it. I always do that when stress and anxiety hits.... And I swear the last 3 summers I've gotten so dizzy and light headed i swear one time it felt like I was drunk. I noticed the pattern of it being in the summer this year finally and assumed it was allergies. Sure enough it's gotten better as the summer has gone on
