I developed anxiety 3 years ago,I tried lexapro but I felt it made my symptoms worse. I'm doing pretty well now, I still get symptoms now and again but I rarely get panic attacks. Can anyone tell me if I should try to have a baby even though I don't take any meds? Or do you think it wise for me to be on meds while pregnant? Also is having anxiety while pregnant bad for baby?

this is a question for your doctor not us. I would say, not to take medication while being pregnant. thats my opinion. good luck to you. sounds like you are getting a grip on this anxiety stuff. thats great. =)

I have had two children and while I was pregnant I felt great.  I was so scared that I wouldfreak out but I feel fine while I am pregnant versus not.  About four months after having my kids I went back on meds but I think my hormones kind of go back to norm.  I truly believe that mine is a chemical inbalance and for what ever reason I did not require meds while pregnant.  I wish i could feel that good all of the time.  I felt "normal"  what ever that is.....hope this helps.  Feel free to ask me anything, I would be ahppy to help!

Anxiety won't affect your children if you take good care of your body.  My sister raised two very happy and wonderful children while suffering agoraphobia, so don't worry about that part.

Thank you so much for your comment. My progesterone has always been very low, I also feel that my anxiety is due to my hormones not being balanced. Hopefully I'll be like you and feel normal because I have to take progesterone supplements, while trying. Thanks again!

You might want to try and do that with a natural healer rather than with medication.  Hormone balancing with natural medicine had been used for a long time, while the medications often just create more imbalances.  Your choice, but not everything needs medication.
