menopause and anxiety

This is my question..  Will the anxiety go away after menopause. Can someone please answer this.  And I hope it good.

Probably not - it only got worse for my sister and mother.  Are you under a doctor's care?  If not, this might be the time to see professional advice and treatment.

It depends.  For me, it got worse.  I believe this is due to the decrease in estrogen.  Hormones change with menopause, and hormones can affect mood.  I use Progesterone 1% cream to help with this.  It is a bio-identical hormone, whose purpose is to balance the hormones that have changed from pre-menopausal times.  I'm also on an antidepressant (Effexor XR-- have been for years), and an antianxiety medication (Klonopin).  I would check with your gynecologist regarding this.  Good luck.
