muscle twitches

I have been having muscle twitches in my right arm now for 2 weeks (upper forearm) and occasional twitches on right side of shoulder.  They are much more pronounced when I am anxious. They appeared during a time when I was a bit stressed.. I got a bit freaked out when i went on the internet and read about all types of terrible diseases that have similar symptoms. Went to my Dr. this week and he put me on a anti anxiety drug that helps me sleep at night. But it doesn't seem to do much during the day. If I am totally relaxed and not focusing on my symptoms - they will usually go away for a while (but come back later). Exercise really helps me relieve my symptoms for a while. My Dr. is sending me to a neurologist next month - just to be safe - although he feels it is anxiety related. I do have a history of anxiety symptoms years ago (heart palpit's - stomach aches)..I can't seem to shake this thing and it is scaring me.I was diagnosed with benign hand tremors last year by a neurologist..They have gotten better since I cut out caffeine though....Any thoughts?
