my heart rate was at 100 bpm today

So today in school my heart was racing. It lasted pretty much the entire day. My pulse was about 100 beats per minute. I didnt feel to stressed out or anything. It didnt feel like a panic attack either. When i finally got home my mom told me to go lay on the couch and in about an hour my pulse went from about 100 to 68 beats per minute. My resting heart rate is usually 60 beats per minute. I dont know if this was just stress or is their something wrong. Ive been to the cardiologist and had all the test done and everything is fine. I do sometimes obsess about my heart.

while uncomfortable sometimes that is not in a danger zone from my understanding. try to focus elsewhere for awhile and make sure you are breathing from your belly

If all your tests have been negative for causing this, then it's time to look at anxiety as the cause. We can get anxiety symptoms even when we don't feel anxious.  You're young, by getting help now you can nip this in the bud and be done with it.  Therapy can help you to do this.  We hear from a lot of teens suffering with anxiety, so know you're not alone.  You can learn how not to obcess about your heart which is fueling your anxiety, and keeping it going.  Talk to your mom about getting into therapy regarding this.  Take care.

It sounds like anxiety. You dont have to have a full attack to have symptoms of anxiety like a racing heart. The fact it came down is great news. Its hard not to obsess trust me I know. Last night before bed I was feeling extra tired and almost doopy like. I took my blood pressure and it was 87/44 the first time and 89 or 90 over 46 the second time. Pulse was in the low 50's. I started to think about heart block and other things and said to my husband before we went to bed, Dont let me die in my sleep. But I didnt allow myself to get worked up about it. Feel asleep and it was alittle more normal today. My heart would race at the oddest times when I first started having anxiety. If you just take quick notice of it and then brush it off and go about what you were doing it will help your mind from taking on the flight or fight response.
