You can work on your adrenals if you want, and it will also help anxiety. Eleuthero and ashwangandha are two good herbs for supporting the adrenals that will not overly stimulate you. If you have blood sugar concerns, American ginseng can also be of help for the adrenals. Holy basil is good for keeping cortisol levels in check. Just some ideas.
I did do a 24 hour collection of urine years ago with a gi specialist but i'm not sure what the test was for so i'll see if I can pull up my record with him and find out if it was tested and what the numbers were...not sure why he ordered that test..but i'll find out peggy.
yeah peggy ugh i'm trying the cheap route I know it very well could possibly be my adrenal glands..hopefully not but *crosses fingers* i'm just wondering if i'm suffering from just a blow up anxiety disorder but if I HAD money i'd be setting up an appointment with a dr. right away..sadly I just don't have anymore cash. My last MRI wiped me out..but it's still a high possibility so I haven't totally walked away from it.
yeah paxiled i'm taking threelac/other probiotics right now, my parents dragged me to a nutritionalist and he has me taking st. john's wort/magnesium/potassium right now along with other vitamins. I'm also on a no soy/wheat/gluten/lactose diet so we'll see but thanks for the advice i'm taking it all it..peggy could be very right..I had a low potassium blood level a few blood tests ago and I was put on kdur (potassium pills) but now i'm looking at the causes of it and one is adrenal glands...so... yeah.. it might be that..hopefully not. I wish I had money to do the test. So i'm going the pill route to see if it's just GAD.
Thanks Kellie :) I will soon as I get some breathing room and working again i'm for sure going to check the adrenal glands and prefferably talk to a therapist..my mind just races..and the constipation/nausea/anxiety..there's a reason for it and i'm sure the test and therapy would totally help out. Just have to get to that point :S Thanks everyone for the advice i'll ask about that drug in the morning!
Hi- I do agree with both post above I also am a believer in that some people need medication to help them with their anxiety. If you are having extreme anxiety then its hard to even attempt to focus on anything much less get to the root of the problem thats Causing the anxiety.
That being said.... I think Klonopin would be a good drug for you. Its not a habit forming drug that many people use as a maintenance drug. It is a mild sedative that helps most ALL the people I know that take it to manage their anxiety.
Once you have some relief from your symptoms you will be able to find a job easier and then health insurance. Once that happens I would strongly suggest therapy. A good therapist can teach you coping skills to use during times of increased anxiety and also help you decipher the cause of it.
Good Luck

I realize you've been to doctors up the yin yang, so pardon me if this is redundant, but flagyl kills off the beneficial flora that live in the intestinal tract. Antibiotics can lead to systemic candida problems, which will manifest in symptoms just like yours, and can also lead to autoimmune problems, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, etc. What you should do whenever you go on an antibiotic is after the dose is completed, take a supplement of beneficial organisms to replenish your system and stay away from antibiotics, if possible for the rest of your life! So have you ever been thoroughly checked for candida, particularly by a holistic physician or nutritionist who knows what to look for and believes in such things?
it still sounds adrenal to me.
The problem is, if you only treat the symptoms, like the anxiety, etc, you will never really get well. Just mask the problem.
That is what a lot of people end up doing because drs are not about healing anymore, just treating symptoms, throw us a pill, and send us on our way. I don't want that. I want to be healed. I don't want to have to make some pill maker richer, while my health is really deteriorating. I don't know but thats just me.
I know when we have these horrible symptoms, we just want relief, and we want it NOW, but it just doesn't happen that way. And the more you fixate on it, the more anxious you will get. That goes for everyone, not just you.
Okay then, that is my opinion. No charge!! :)
