I lost a lot of weight from anxiety. At my worst I was at 104lbs. I'm only 5'2 but my average weight has always been between 115 and 120. I was able to put weight back on...it took awhile but after treating the anxiety it became easier. I was 104 in september and by march I was back to 116. Unfortunately some stressful events in my life caused me to drop back to 110. I noticed the more I worried about my weight, the harder it was for me to gain weight back. So this time I'm not worrying. I eat as healthy as I can and try to fix the anxiety issues first then work on my weight. I used ensure the last time I lost weight. This time I'm eating more carbs when I eat. I have days tho where all I can stomach are a few saltines.
Try not to worry about the weight loss. That's just another worry to stress you out and cause more anxiety which will lead to more weight loss. Try to tackle the anxiety and the weight will come back.
Anxiety can cause us to not eat as we should, so you need to address the anxiety and the fact that you aren't able to eat much. In the meantime eat 6 times a day since you're not eating much at one sitting....it's healthier for you as well. Consuming a lot of sugar to gain weight is not healthy. You're smart to avoid the junk food, this will keep you healthier in the long term. Boost is very good for you, it gives you all the vitamins you need when not eating properly. If you're not seeing someone for help with your anxiety, you really need to do this. Medications and/or therapy would be a big help to you. I hope this helps and wish you all the best.
Eat in between meals if you can't eat a lot at your meals. When I get onto a sweet-drinks kick, I put on weight, and I have never had a weight issue in my life otherwise. Find a caloric drink you like, Boost is fine but also learn to make smoothies and milkshakes that you really like, and toss some malt in them for good measure. You don't have to gulp down a huge one, but sip a little one in between breakfast and lunch, and between lunch and dinner. At five foot 10, you're supposed to compute 100 lbs. for the first 5 feet and then three pounds per inch after that, and the result is still pleasingly slim by modern standards but not skinny. So you need to put on 17 lbs. That is (unfortunately as I can affirm) not entirely hard to do if you're drinking a lot of sweet drinks. If you are really put off by smoothies (by the way, whole-milk yogurt instead of lowfat yogurt would also help in the smoothies), you could go with juices, carrot juice and orange juice have a lot of calories.
