neurontin interaction

Hello to all I am new to this forum and have a question that I hope someone out there can answer.I was prescribed neurontin by my pain management doc for 4 bulging discs in my back on 6/8/11. I take 1 300mg pill 3x's a day. I am going to see my primary doc on 6/13/11 for severe anxiety/ panic attacks. I would like to know what anxiety meds I should AVOID while taking the neurontin? Thanks to all who answer.

Neurontin is actually prescribed in conjunction with anti-anxiety meds.  It is often given for anxiety, so you are pretty safe.  It can be taken with benzos and SSRI's.  Your doctor will know which drugs cannot be taken with Neurontin, anyways.  As long as you let him know that you take it there should be no problems.

Thanks for your comment!  I ended up getting Cymbalta 30 mg to take at night and something called Atarax 25mg that I am suppose to take 3x's a day but I take as needed it is for the hives and to take when I get panic attacks. Thanks again
