nexium

by tobyson, Dec 18, 2007 12:02PM
I have been taking 2 40 mg. of Nexium daily for about two weeks and have had some abdominal pain.  Is this normal?  How long does it last?  When do I call the doctor?

I took Nexium for about 2 weeks to help with some abdominal pain I was having.

I believe it is very common to experience abdominal pain before, during, and (hopefully not) after taking Nexium.  As long as there is no blood, etc. in your stools, you should be okay.  Nexium, from my understanding, is a very well tolerated medication but it can cause abdominal pain.

My stomach pain lasted for about 4 days while I was taking it, then it went away.

I wish you the best.
