This is what I've been told. Make sure you are not getting overtired. Try and keep a regular routine. If you seem to have them at a certain time during the night then ask someone to wake you up right before that time. Sometimes interupting the sleep cycle will stop the night terrors. Usually this is just children who have them and they outgrow them. I think it's more unusual for an adult to have them. Get plenty of rest. Don't overstimulate yourself (like exercising, or watching something scary on TV).Try something relaxing before bedtime like taking a bath or reading a good book. I hope this helps!

heres what helps me... i eat green vegees before bed.. OR oatmeal... not a whole lot.. but.. maybe what can fit into the palm of your hand..
while you are in bed.. THINK about how you are feeling.. try your best to think positive..

i have night terrors as well.. what triggers mine is eating anything besides oatmeal or vegees..  i started trying that out when i was watching Opra and Dr. Oz was suggesting it.... it works wonders for me..

over tired is also a trigger... wow.. i avoid that at all costs...  i hope that everything turns out alright..

take care
