obsessed w/ therapist

by young46, Jul 07, 2009 12:11PM
I have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. I see both a psychiatrist and a psychologist. I have been taking seraquil to help w/ mood stability as well as xanax, effexor and ambilify. My main concern is my obsession w/ my psychologist. I see him twice a week and am very afraid that if I get well he will not want to see me any more. He has assured me that this is not the case, but I am still afraid of getting well and losing him. Is this normal? Will my obsession lesson at some point even though I am fighting it?

you really need to talk to him about this and work on accepting the time will come when YOU no longer need him, this is the process in recovery. also please note, alot of people have that separation anxiety.
