off meds

Ok i was on lorezepam .5 mg for about 75 days well after taking two a day maybe 4 times i decided that i didnt want to take it anymore for my anxiety and social anxiety. I started getting a headache and attributed it to needed to take two and i didnt want to. well after 4 days cold turkey i called my doctor and he said i wasnt on them long enough to worry about side effcts if stopping them cold turkey, which i dont think is true. Anyways my anxiety became much worse and really abd thoughts i understood it was from the withdrawal and those bad thoughts have gone away. i had migraines or severe headaches foe about two weeks, they went away but now im having headcahes not as bad but still daily again. Its been almost a month that i have not taken any. My doctor doesnt know what hes talking about i shouldnt have gone turkey to begin with but im already down this path, i also felt like i was catching a fever but that went away and heart fluttering but thankfully thats gone as well. anyways i have been lifting weight and running mayb 5 times a weel and i drink plenty of water. I now take mutli vitamins and L theamine for anxety i feel ok at times but the instene anxiety i felt after going cold turkey seems to be going away. Anyone know how long until i dont get these headachesfrom the withdrawl i know evretin is different just a guideline maybe. I wads on .5 for 75 days and its 4 days shy of a month now.

The medication, I assume, is to kill the candida, assuming you even have candida and not some other fungal infection such as ringworm.  As such it will also kill off other organisms, as we don't have drugs yet that can target just the bad guys.

The problem is, the medication your doctor is giving you is going to kill of more beneficial organisms, which is what the problem is if it was caused by antibiotics.  Did you ever replenish the beneficial organisms by taking a good refrigerated probiotic at your local health food store, or start to eat good prebiotics that feed these organisms such as cultured and fermented foods?  If your stomach started bothering you, that's a sign of a lack of bifidus and other beneficial organisms, and the rashes could be a sign of a lack of reuteri and other beneficial organisms.  As long as you keep killing off the good guys with the bad you'll continue to have these problems if it was indeed the antibiotics that caused the problem.  Good luck.

the problem is i took anti bitocs when i got sick and this was years ago and then i was given another set or turn of antibiotics for the same fever or infection at the time, since then i have gotten really bad stomach aches like intense and been constipated in a short time three times. I have also had a rash on my privates now and three sets of prescription creams have not worked that why my doctor now gave me the medication pills. unfortunately i was given antibotics alot when i was younger. That was years ago but the stomach pains started around that same time.I get random pains or discomfort alont my stomach and bloating. I have been checked for crhons disease, ulcers, and other stuff and nothing.

Systemic candida infections are very hard to deal with but also aren't all that common.  Most candida infections stay confined to the intestinal tract, and are more common in women than men.  A specialist should be able to tell if you have a systemic candida infection or not; they shouldn't be guessing and giving you medication that kills off the very beneficial organisms that prevent candida from getting  foothold in the body in the first place without diagnosing a yeast infection.  Most people who get candida have had a die-off in their intestinal organisms, often by taking antibiotics.  I have no idea if that's your problem, but again, it's a problem that's only treated if it's diagnosed.

ive read that  candis infection can cause a chrmcial imbalance and online n places such as the cdc, states that depression and anxiety can be caused by a candis or yeast infecton that has gotten out of hand? any thought about this do hou know anything about wether ot not this is true.

I think you're doing fine.  You made a mistake going cold turkey and you're paying for it, but you might have paid for it anyway if you'd done it properly -- some people's brains just take a longer time than others to return to functioning normally.  But the symptoms you're having aren't the worse ones -- those are emotional problems you never had before and you don't have those.  While none of us can tell you how long it will take for a particular individual, again, you're actually doing well.  You might try taking some fish oil and see if it helps with the physiological stuff that has stuck around, and you might look into a meditation practice because it might help you even out your circulation and that might take care of the lingering headaches.

You appear to be coping badly with anxiety (and perhaps anxiety about withdrawal symptoms from discontinuing an anti-anxiety med).

May I message you with a list of links to my earlier posts containing tips for coping with anxiety?
