on zoloft for 3 weeks now

Well, I've been on zoloft for 3 weeks now, if anything I feel worse.  I want to try another medication or go back on the effexor that I was on last year.  How do I ween myself off the zoloft before taking another med, any advice?

The only way to come off of the Zoloft and back on another medication is through the advice of your prescribing doctors.  In my opinion, I have seen too many people take this issue into there own hands and not only can it be much more trouble then its worth, it can be dangerous.  Just go back to your doctor and discuss it with him/her and he/she can help you do what you want to do.  Keep us posted1

thanks, I'll give that a shot.  Who knows, maybe I won't have to go on anything once I'm finished with the zoloft. lol I doubt it, wishful thinking I guess.  I'll wait a week or so after I"m off the zoloft before starting back on the effexor.

im on 100 milligrams of zoloft currently. i was on 50 mg before being titrated up to 100mg. Since that how it was titrated up, it should be titrated down in the same fashion, down by 50 mg each time per week, until it is out of your system.
