Is having palpitations during sport bad for your heart and can it lead to a heart attack?

It's normal for your heart rate to rise during activities like working out or playing a sport.  But if this is new or "different" and considering your age, I would get this checked out right away.  Best wishes.

Thank you for that. I have had many tests before, but these so called not harmful palpitations are so off putting when playing sport. One just wanders if they are doing any harm?? must be terrible for a heart muscle to change beats like that I recon?
Like a motor car that keeps missing with fuel starvation :)

hi ,, go get your ECG after exercise , doctor will let you run on a treadmill then take your ecg , but I think you have nothing , u will b alright and healthy ,,,,  good luck,, best wishes for you....
