panic attack?

I had a couple full on panic attacks about a year ago.  Since that time I haven't had anything nearly that bad (hyperventilation, body seizing up, chest pain, dizziness--you know, the heart attack thing!)  Anyway, I have, however, had something that I am wondering is a mini panic attack?  Is there such a thing??  Is a panic attack and anxiety attack the same?  Well, last night my heart started beating fast and I could feel a slight vibration in my chest.  The vibration was different than the low motoring humming thing that happens.  My pulse seemed regular, just fast and my breathing stayed normal.  Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I am heading up to the Mayo Clinic next week for a cardiac evaluation and don't know if this is anxiety disorder or something else.  I don't know anyone else who has this or feels this way so I don't know where else to ask.  Any input would be really appreciated!!  Thanks all!!

By the way, suzi-q, if you are reading--have you receieved the Linden Method material yet?  Just curious how it is.  Good luck to you if you've started!!!

it sounds like anixety to me. i've been living with it for a while now. and im sure your fine. :) good luck tho at mayo, i heard its good.
