I have a ruptured disk and I have panic when the pain is bad or I've been in severe pain for extended periods. It's awful because I get pain all over when the stress build from pain and it turns into a cycle of adreniline and pain. The adrenaline overload will tighten your muscles and then the musles being tight makes the adrenaline flow. It's possible to break the cycle.

It will take some real effort to find the thing or combination of things that help you break out of the cycle.

Also, if you are having any allergies the added inflamation in your body will start a pain cycle. (as if it ever stops)

This can turn into bouts with fibromyalgia (which is pain all over at the same time) as it did for me.

Adreniline overload will make your body hurt more.

We have to stop the cycle... even if we have to listen to some meditation tapes or maybe self hypnosis added to the right kinds of therapies. There is a way to gain more time "out of pain".
Good luck.

It is possible to have anxiety over a medical condition and from pain. However, if you are having repeated panic attacks it may be due to something else going on.

Have you had alot of other stress lately besides the back issue? The back problem mat have been just the trigger.

It is very difficult to try and figure out what triggers anxiety. You really have to think about everything that is going on in your life and try to put it all into perspective.

Good Luck.

Anything is possible and if you are overly worried about reinjuring yourself or are fearing the pain you can drive yourself into an anxiety attack anticipating it.
