paroxetine for panic and anxiety

i was recently prescribed 10 mg paroxetine for severe anxiety and panic attacks, and within 2 days i've been on an emotional roller coaster, alternating uncontrollable laughter to depression and tears. i'll admit it very well could all be in my head, as anxiety is, however i'm also experiencing loss of appetite, blurred vision, headaches and depersonalisation. has anyone ever experienced such rapid results on this, paxil, or seroxat? i know it isn't supposed to work for about a month.

Everyone reacts differently to meds, but when I first started having my panic attacks years ago, the first medication I was put on was Paxil.  At the time I was agoraphobic and having panic attacks almost hourly.  When I started the Paxil, I did notice a definite increase in my anxiety, nausea, headaches, etc...but at that time, the attacks were so bad, the increase in the anxiety really didn't bother me too much.  After about 2 weeks though, I was starting to feel a difference.  Once the initial adjustment to the medication was tolerated by my body, I did wonderful on the med.  I was on Paxil for 6 years at 60 mg.  Hope this helps a bit!   Also, I hope this message finds you feeling a bit better today.

thank you for your help. i'm actually feeling worse today, i've resolved to quit it, i've only been on for three days. i do not feel myself, i feel drugged. i feel ill, and unable to think clearly. this is not for me. i appreciate you help though.
