How long does it take to get into your system and how long before you start to see side effects like? Ive been it on it for only less than a week and I feel very groggy and does it just make you hungrier and thats why you gain  weight?

I didn't....well, I was so stricken with anxiety when I started taking it that I was still losing weight from the nausea that I always had.  since then,I have gained weight and have lost weight.  I do not feel that it has effected my weight gain...I am one of those people who always had to watch my weight and I still do!

So Paxil has been good to you?  I tried it for a little bit and I was going through a hard time.  It may have not had time to get into my system because I made them change to something else.

I am guessing that it takes 3-4 weeks to get to therapeutic levels - google it to make sure.

Yes, Paxil works for me....but we all have to find the right one for our system...many times I would like to try a newer one that may help ALL my symptoms, but I am so afraid of losing what I have with Paxil....I AM STILL WAITING, HOWEVER, FOR THE MIRACLE PILL THAT MAKES ME SAY, "ANXIETY? ....WHAT ANXIETY???????"

it takes about 4 weeks...if the side effects aren't horrible then give it some time...
