please help i,m so scared.

Hi ativan hear,
I will try and cut a long story short, In 2006 I was put on statins to lower my colestrol, I took them for 4weeks and started to get a tightness in upper abderman, also that year I had to withdraw from tranzene as they withdrew it of the market so I was put on 5mgs of valium, I also take 4mgs of ativan daily have done for 30years, I stopped the statins after a month but the tightness remains, my doctor has given me 2 ultra sound which were both normal, i had the camara into my stomach which also came back normal and all my bloods have come back normal, I went to my g.p again in may of this year and she said there was nothing wrong and to see my phcyatrist he made nothing of it. I had it so bad today has every day so I went back to the docs, he said there was nothing to worry about it was musculer, but how can you have musculer discomfort for so long? i,m so scared as I cannott except thats its musculer or anxiety, im scared............................................................ as to what it is.

hi im not sure if this will help as im not taking the medication your on, but i suffer from sever anxiety and other things, and have had it for 3 years, i get an extremely tight feeling in my chest and i also get it in my throat, i get scared im ill or im going to stop breathing. i found it hard and i still find it hard to beleive that its just anxiety as i think how can anxiety do such horrible and extreme things to you, as you have had all the test and ultra sound it sounds like anxiety.

Anxiety will cause all kinds of muscular problems, and can really mess with your guts too! I know, I've been going through this **** for 10 years. It really tenses up all your muscles from....well....tension!

Sorry Ativan......I looked at your profile and realised that I was talking to someone who has been going through this for quite a few years as well.......But that is the first thing that happens to me when going through alot of anxiety, my muscles tense up so badly that I get headaches ( from my neck and shoulder area) and for the last few days I have had stomache probs like crazy. My guts are constantly turning, rumbling, I had such bad heartburn the one day that I though that I was having a heart attack. This disorder wrecks havoc on the body, I'm so tired of it...Aren't we all?!

You no doubt have rebound anxiety, if you have been taking 4mg of ativan for 30 years. Please see web site benzo.org.uk. It's a real eye opener!  The "benzo's" made my life a living hell. My first prescription was for 8mg of aitvan a day!
