okay so a doctor perscribed me amoxicillian for stomache issues i was having, well yesterday i started having like a really super dry throat and started feeling like i wasnt breathing properly, and having minor upper back aches. i have bad bad panic attacks, so the breathing thing might be something im making up but i want to make sure. the back of my throat aches a little and the airway feels smaller, im looking in the mirror and my throat is not swollen, could it be just me freaking myself out? i went to the doctor yesterday and she looked and said my throat does not look swollen and my oxygen level is fine. she gave me a shot anyways just in case it was a allergic reaction, which she didnt think it was. does this ever happen to anyone else? is it panic?

If the doctor checked your throat and found no swelling or redness, nothing, in other words, then your throat is fine. If she thought you were having a reaction to the antibiotic, she would have you stop it. Amxoicillian is a very mild and very well tolerated abx, they give it to children,  and if your oxygen stats were good, I think you're letting your anxiety/panic get away from you.
Could it just be you freaking yourself out? I don't really have much doubt in my mind that's what's going on here.
My humble advice would be that as soon as your feeling better, ask for a referral to a good therapist to begin dealing with your anxiety/panic issues.
I hope you feel better soon and I especially hope you seek some therapy. You'll be a much happier person if you do.

I agree with greenlydia here. Panic can take over almost every aspect of one's life sometimes.  In my opinon, it can definitley manifest itself in different ways and symptoms.  Also, in my experience with health anxiety, if we look for it, are concerned with it, we will probably find it.  You did the right thing by going to see your doctor and it looks like she took you seriously and helped you out.  If she says that you are ok, then I would tend to believe the doctor.  Have you been suffereing from anxiety for awhile?  As greenlydia says, seeking out a good therapist is a must in my opinion.  By learning about your anxiety, you will be given the knowledge to deal with it and confront it....keep us posted!

when i am either upset or anxious i start to feel my throat close up on me, i feel a lump just behind where the adams apple would be if i were a guy, and it becomes painful to swallow, can affect my breathing and talking, it can take from a couple of hours to even days for it to subside. When this happens take small sips of water to stop the intense feeling of dry mouth and it will help with the pain.  But most important of all just try to realise it is anxiety and it will pass.  You have been checked over and told you are fine.
